(Des Moines)– A new 25-unit affordable housing development in Spirit Lake is among several housing projects in the region that have been awarded funding through the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Workforce housing Tax Incentive program. The multi-family development will be getting nearly $830,000 in credits through the program.
Other projects awarded credits include Deer Creek Apartments and Townhomes, an 84 unit rental complex in Estherville, was awarded $1 million through the initiative and the Iowa Great Lakes West Beltway, a residential home development in Spencer, was awarded a little more than $353,000 for a project consisting of 10 units.
The program awarded nearly $10 million in Workforce Housing Tax Credit projects statewide.
