(Mountain Lake, Mn.)– A two vehicle accident yesterday (Thursday) afternoon on Highway 60 near Mountain Lake has sent three people to the hospital.
According to a Minnesota State Patrol report, around 2:40pm, 25 year-old Adriana Zarate of Garden City was driving a 2002 GMC Sierra northbound on 570th Street when it collided with a 2011 Dodge Ram, which was being driven eastbound on Highway 60 by 46 year-old Chad Kraus of Adrian.
Zarate was flown to the Sanford Medical Center with what was reported as life threatening injuries. Kraus, along with a juvenile passenger in the Zarate vehicle were taken to the Windom Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Mountain Lake Police Department, Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Lake Fire and Ambulance along with North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.
