(Sioux City)– A Kossuth county man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison on a meth charge.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa says 30-year-old Christopher Paul Hanson of Lakota pled guilty previously to conspiracy to distribute atleast 1,500 grams of pure methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a drug user.
As part of a plea deal, Hanson admitted to distributing 1,500 grams of pure meth in and around north central Iowa. A traffic stop in September, 2018 resulted in authorities finding about 10 pounds of methamphetamine, part of which was packaged for delivery to Hanson for re-distribution. A search warrant executed on September 26th, 2018 on Hanson’s residence resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia, drug packaging materials, drug ledgers, marijuana, methamphetamine, guns, and ammunition.
