Estherville Traffic Stop Results In Two Arrests And Seizure Of 15 Pounds Of Pot, THC, “Molly”, And Cocaine

(Estherville)– A traffic stop this past Saturday in the 300 block of Central Avenue in Estherville resulted in authorities finding 15 pounds of marijuana, THC products, THC vaping cartridges, MDMA…also known as “MOLLY”, and cocaine with a combined estimated street value of $160,000. Authorities also seized $10,000 in cash. The items were found after authorities executed a search warrant on the vehicle.

Two men in the vehicle, 40-year-old Donald Dorenkamp of Plymouth, Iowa and 30-year-old Allix Betsinger of Lakota, Iowa were arrested and booked into the Emmet county jail. 

Emmet and Kossuth county authorities then obtained and executed a search warrant on Betsinger’s residence in Lakota where they found additional controlled substances and cash. 

Betsinger and Dorenkamp were charged with possession of MDMA with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession with intent to deliver cannabinoid, four counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Betsinger was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a prescription drug, and Dorenkamp was charged with failure to yield half of the roadway.

Both suspects are being held in the Emmet county jail on a $25,000 cash bond.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
