(Undated)– Buena Vista county has become a hot spot in the region for COVID-19.
Information on the state’s coronavirus website shows 414 people in Buena Vista county tested positive for the virus Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases in that county to 662. The increase in large part is being attributed to additional testing and the local presence of a Test Iowa facility. 10 people there are hospitalized with the virus as of this (Wed.) morning.
Elsewhere, three additional were cases were reported as of 8:30 this (Wed.) in Dickinson county for a total of 12 so far; seven more cases were reported in Sioux county, bringing that county’s total to 210; Clay county reported three more cases Tuesday for a total of 13 so far; O’Brien county reported three new cases for a total of 27; Cherokee county is reporting three more cases for a total of 23; and Pocahontas county had four more positive cases for a total of eight. Other counties in the area were unchanged.
