Arnolds Park Amusement Park Putting COVID-19 Provisions In Place With Expected Re-Opening Coming Soon

May 26, 2020

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park Amusement Park remained closed over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, still awaiting the official word from Governor Kim Reynolds as to when they’ll be able to open. Paul Plumb, the park’s Marketing Director, tells KUOO news they have provisions and COVID-19 safety protocol in place once they do get the green light to open up…Park Precautions

“You know we’re providing hand sanitizers dispensers throughout the park. Our staff starting out will be wearing masks. We’re encouraging others to be wearing masks but not making it mandatory. We are creating social distancing on rides; we’re, if people are too close on a normal ride, you know, like for instance the roller coaster, that might have to be where we’re going every other car, or every other seat, to make sure the people are distanced apart, and doing the same thing in our cue lines for the rides, placing distance markers down there so people can try to be six feet apart. And also recommending cashless transactions throughout the park, we’ve made it so we’re accepting credit and debit cards. Cash will still be accepted but just encouraging the use of those.”

The Governor is expected to be making an announcement regarding the reopening of amusement parks in coming days.
