(Milford)– Organizers of the University of Okoboji Cycling Classic announced today (Wed.) the event will not be held this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This would mark the 36th year for the event, which is being postponed to the last Saturday of June, 2021.
In a statement, the event’s organizers say the safety of their volunteers and riders is their top priority and that with the current conditions they cannot ask everyone to congregate together in a large group.
They add that postponing the ride will allow them to change some of the routes and/or expand the current routes.
Those who have already registered through allsportscentral.com can go through them to get a refund. Those who mailed in registration forms can either get a refund or get pre-registered for 2021.
