(Spencer)– There were no immediate reports of injuries, but authorities say there was a heavy amount of property damage in a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday at the intersection of 240th Avenue and 350th Street in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 46-year-old Jay Edington of Spencer was driving a 2005 Nissan southbound on 240th Avenue and 77-year-old Robert Henderson of Emmetsburg was driving a 2004 Cadillac which had stopped at a stop sign. Deputies say Henderson then pulled into the intersection, resulting in a collision.
Henderson was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
The collision took place around 4:17 pm.
