(Johnston)– The Iowa Department of Public Health today (Monday) is reporting an additional 349 cases of COVID-19, with the total number of cases now at 5,868.
The agency also today (Monday) is reporting nine more deaths with the state’s death toll now at 127.
Officials also say 2,021 of the state’s cases have recovered, with 3,847 active cases currently present.
They add 32,282 Iowans have tested negative for the virus and that 38,150 residents have been tested.
DPH also says 27 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized as of today (Monday) in northwest Iowa and that seven were admitted between Saturday and Sunday. Eight patients in northwest Iowa are in intensive care with four of them on ventilators.
