Minor Injuries Reported In Two-Vehicle Collision

April 25, 2020

(Sheldon)– Minor injuries were reported Friday in a two-vehicle collision two miles south of Sheldon on Highway 60.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Matthew Murray of Sioux City was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Express van and 28-year-old Jacob Schilling of Hartley was driving a 2010 Chevrolet. Deputies say both vehicles were northbound and that Schilling was changing lanes when the two collided.

Minor injuries were reported by both drivers but both declined immediate medical attention.

Damage to the van driven by Murray was estimated at $5,000 while the vehicle driven by Schilling sustained an estimated $8,000 in damage.

Schilling was cited for making an unsafe turn.

The Sheldon ambulance and Sheldon Police Department assisted on the scene.
