(Superior)– Multiple fire departments battled a barn and grass fire Friday afternoon northwest of Superior.
The Superior Fire Department was called to 1124 280th Avenue, which is about a mile north and three miles west of Superior after getting a report of a barn on fire. The fire quickly spread to a large nearby grassland area.
The Spirit Lake, Estherville, Terril and Jackson, Minnesota Fire Departments were then called for mutual aid for additional manpower and to help haul water to the scene.
Firefighters were on the scene several hours.
No injuries were reported.
The barn was destroyed.
