(St. Paul)-For the third day in a row, Minnesota has seen a record number of new COVID-19 cases.
According to State Officials, there were 94 new cases reported on Thursday, bringing the state’s total to 1,336. The number of deaths increased by 7 to 57. 66 of Minnesota’s 87 counties have reported positive tests.
There is one case in Jackson County and 5 in Cottonwood County. Martin County increased by 1 to 36.
Statewide, almost 34,000 tests have been completed. The total requiring hospitalization is now at 317, with 143 of those still in the hospital. The number in ICU increased to 64. 732 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
Governor Tim Walz and his commissioners will hold their daily press briefing at 2 pm Friday.
