(George)– Minor injuries were reported Friday in a single vehicle crash near George.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says Francisco Garcia of Ocheyedan was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on County Road A-34 when he lost control on some ice. The vehicle went into the south ditch and came to rest on its side after striking a utility pole.
Garcia was taken to Avera Rock Rapids with minor injuries.
The vehicle was totaled.
Garcia was cited for failure to maintain control.
The crash took place around 7:00 am.
