(Emmetsburg)– An incident Tuesday night in Palo Alto county resulted in the arrest of a Ruthven man.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says deputies received a report around 11:00 pm of a suspicious man in the parking lot behind the school in Ruthven. Upon arriving deputies identified the man as 30-year-old Christopher Quail of Ruthven. They determined Quail was wanted on a Clay county warrant for operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. While deputies were attempting to arrest Quail, he resisted and a taser was deployed. Deputies then discovered Quail was in possession of a concealed firearm, drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Quail was charged with two counts of interference with official acts while possessing a firearm, two counts of assault on persons in a certain profession causing bodily injury, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief in the 5th degree.
Quail was booked into the Palo Alto county jail on those charges and was also being held on the Clay county warrant.
