March 02, 2020

(Spencer)– An arrest warrant check Sunday evening at 119 West 2nd Street in Spencer resulted in two arrests.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the check was being conducted shortly before 7:00 pm on 57-year-old Juan Fernando Martinez, Jr.

During the investigation another person, 51-year-old Veronica Millison, was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Martinez, Jr. and Millison were taken to the Clay county jail.

Authorities then obtained and executed a search warrant on the residence, resulting in them finding marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Millison was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana and methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.

Martinez, Jr. was being held on a $500 cash only bond on the arrest warrant.

The Spencer Police Department assisted in making the arrests.
