(Arnolds Park)-The Rock the Roof Winter and Spring Concert Series will continue with a special Valentine’s Dance on Thursday evening, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Rock the Roof at the Majestic Pavilion Thursday night as part of their Winter and Spring Concert Series.
Executive Director Clay Norris says Thursday’s dance will have a Valentine theme. “We are having the group Vinyl Nights coming for what we call the Valentine’s Dance Party. We had a special gift given to us by Ferguson’s Florists, they are giving us 100 red roses, so the first 100 ladies that come will get a red rose.”
He notes that two more concerts will complete the series. “We actually have two more. On March 19th, we’ll have a St. Patrick’s Day Dance, and then on April 16th we’re having a Spring Prom, and Richie Lee is coming for that, and I know he’s very popular in this area.”
The doors will open at 5 o’clock Thursday evening with music starting at 6 o’clock at the Pavilion in Arnolds Park.
