Estherville Woman Arrested On Meth & Firearms Charges

September 17, 2019

(Estherville)– Multiple charges have been filed against an Estherville woman as the result of an alleged incident September 9th 225 7th Avenue North in Estherville.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were executing a writ of removal at that address when a suspect identified as 44-year-old Jenny Queener of Estherville threatened to kill herself with a high powered rifle. After about 30 minutes of negotiations at the scene, Queener was taken into custody. Upon further investigation it was determined Queener was found to be in possession of what’s alleged to be methamphetamine along with a digital scale, baggies and drug paraphernalia.

Queener was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying weapons, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, which was enhanced due to the firearms charge and for being within 1,000 feet of a park.

Queener was being held in the Emmet county jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.

The Estherville Police Department assisted on the scene.
