(Lake Park)– Lake Park is among seven cities in the state that have been awarded a Community Development Block Grant for infrastructure projects. It will receive a little more than $355,000 for a water main installation project.
The Iowa Economic Development Authority announced the awards Thursday.
The funding is through the federal government and is intended for projects that benefit low and moderate-income residents. The grants are targeted to smaller communities with populations of less than 50,000.
A total of two million dollars in funding was awarded to the Iowa communities in this round of grants.
