(Undated)– Some small northwest Iowa school districts are getting funding through a federal grant program.
The U-S Department of Education has released slightly more than four million dollars to 150 school districts through the “Small Rural Schools Achievement Program”.
Locally, the Armstrong-Ringsted district will receive 31-thousand dollars; Clay Central-Everly will get 35-thousand; the George school district will receive 27-thousand dolloars; 23-thousand dollars has been awarded to the Graettinger district; Harris-Lake Park will receive 28,600-dollars; Ruthven-Ayrshire will get nearly 23-thousand; the South Clay district will receive 16,600-dollars; and the Terril district will receive just short of 19-thousand dollars through the program.
The grants are being awarded to school districts with 600 or fewer students.
