Single-Vehicle Crash Leaves Milford Man Complaining Of Possible Injury

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– A single-vehicle crash late Monday afternoon left a Milford man complaining of possible injury.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Kevin Jones lost control of a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup that was pulling a trailer as he was traveling on County Road A-34 just east of Milford. The vehicle left the road and went into the ditch. Jones complained of possible injuries to his back but declined treatment at the scene.

He was charged with failure to use required towing equipment.

24-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the pickup owned by Northwest Iowa Sprinkler; a sign and post owned by the city of Milford sustained an estimated 50-dollars in damage.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Arnolds Park and Milford Police Departments, Milford Rescue and Milford Fire Department and the Spirit Lake Ambulance.

The mishap took place around 5:30 p.m.
