AP Council Adopts New Density Requirements For Zoning

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park city council Wednesday amended the city’s zoning ordinance, tightening density requirements for new developments in areas zoned R-2, R-3 and R-4 multi-family residential.

The current standard is one unit for every four thousand square feet of land. Under the revised standard, that will increase to seven thousand square feet for the first unit with an additional two thousand square feet for the second unit and four thousand square feet for each additional unit beyond that.

The council voted unanimously to adopt the revision after a public hearing that drew no comments or concerns.
