(Spencer)– A Spencer man was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday evening in Spencer.
Spencer police say the collision took place around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of East Ninth Street and Fifth Avenue East.
Authorities say Mackenzie Kabrick-Mugge of Spencer was southbound on Fifth Avenue East when she apparently failed to see an eastbound vehicle driven by James Zylstra of Spencer. Kabrick-Mugge entered the intersection, striking the vehicle driven by Zylstra, sending it over the curb where it struck a street sign and came to rest.
Zylstra was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with unknown injuries. Mugge wasn’t injured.
Both vehicles sustained an estimated 4,500-dollars in damage.
Mugge was charged with failure to yield to the vehicle on the right at an uncontrolled intersection.
