(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says there’s been a break in its investigation into some recent vandalism at the Clay Center/Everly High School.
Authorities say 18-year-old Matthew Manning of Royal turned himself in Thursday afternoon at the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. Manning was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree…a serious misdemeanor. He was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
Authorities say profanity was painted on the school’s ag building and on other areas of school grounds in the early morning of Thursday, May 11th. Damage was estimated at between six hundred and a thousand dollars.
Authorities say additional arrests are expected.
