Salads Recalled

(Albert Lea, Mn.)– Mrs. Gerry’s Kitchen Incorporated has announced a voluntary recall of about 54-thousand pounds of salads that may be contaminated with a harmful bacteria.

The company says the salads should NOT be eaten even if they look and smell good.

It says no illnesses have been reported.

The products were sold under the Mrs. Gerry’s, Sysco, Knowlan’s (Festival), Spoon River and Fareway brand names.

The company says the affected products were sold to a few distributors, including some in Minnesota and Iowa.

The recalled products include a side variety of potato, macaroni, seafood, fresh pasta, smoked turkey jarlsberg, tuna and ham salads.

Consumers who purchased those products are urged to return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.
