Spencer Stabbing Leaves Two Men Injured

(Spencer)– Very few details have been released so far about a stabbing early this (Friday) morning in Spencer that sent two men to the hospital.

Spencer police responded to a report of a fight just before 1:00 a.m. in the 700 block of West Fifth Street.

After questioning people at the scene, police determined a fight had occurred and two men had been stabbed with a knife. Both men had fled before police arrived.

Officers located the men at Spencer Hospital. They were being treated for stab wounds to their arms and chest.

No names are being released at this time as the investigation continues.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Spencer Police Department.
