(Sherburn, Mn.)– On Memorial Day, a small town in southern Minnesota remembered a hometome Marine recently killed in Iraq.
The name of Lance Corporal Robert Posivio the third of rural Sherburn was added to the roll call of area soldiers who have died or been killed in service since the Civil War.
Posivio was killed last week by a roadside bomb in Iraq. He joined his younger brother, Daniel, and his great-grandfather, Herbert, on the list of 350 names read aloud at the service.
19-year-old Daniel Posivio was killed in a car accident in July of 2004 while on leave from the Navy.
