Car vs. Motorcycle Accident Sends Two People To LRH

(Spirit Lake)– A collision involving a car and a motorcycle Monday at the intersection of Highway 71 and 34th Street in Spirit Lake sent two people to the hospital.

Police say 22-year-old Tyler Anderson of Fairmont, Minnesota was attempting to make a left turn off Highway 71 onto 34th Street when he turned into the path of a Honda Motorcycle driven by 54-year-old David Noy of Vernon City, Minnesota who was northbound on Highway 71. Noy and a passenger on the motorcycle he was operating, his wife Jacqueline, were transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with unknown injuries. No injuries were reported to Anderson who was charged for failure to yield upon making a left turn.

Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2005 Mercury driven by Anderson. The motorcycle driven by Noy sustained an estimated 2,500-dollars in damage.

The collision took place shortly after 3:30 p.m.
