(Spirit Lake)– A single-vehicle crash early this (Tuesday) morning on the south side of Spirit Lake sent one person to the hospital.
The Spirit Lake Police Department says 22-year-old Michael Weber of Spirit Lake was southbound on Hill Avenue at 37th Street when he lost control. Authorities say the vehicle left the road and collided with a utility pole on the south side of 37th Street.
Weber was transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare where he was treated and released.
Eight thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Mitsubishi Weber was driving. The utility pole, owned by Alliant Energy, sustained an estimated 10-thousand dollars in damage.
The crash occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m.
Police say it remains under investigation.
