(Spencer)– 16 employees at a Spencer warehouse previously owned by Shopper’s Supply and most recently by Bomgaars are wondering what the future holds for them after it was announced today (Wed.) the facility will be closing this coming September 30th.
Roger Bomgaars says they decided to merge the operation in their corporate office and warehouse in Sioux City.
He says they’re hoping to transfer the affected workers to other Bomgaars locations.
Bomgaars adds the warehouse closing will not affect any of the company’s retail locations in Spencer, Spirit Lake or Algona or any of its 38 other retail outlets in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska.
Bomgaars says competition in the market place forced them to reallocate some resources.
