Primghar Residents Charged In Drug Investigation

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– Four Primghar residents have been charged in a drug investigation conducted by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Department of Human Services.

The Sheriff’s Office says it received a report from a DHS investigator that some adults were allegedly using drugs in the presence of children at two apartments at 255 Fifth Street Northeast in Primghar.

DHS investigators and sheriff’s deputies made contact with the occupants of the apartments. A search resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia.

20-year-old Jesse Warnke, 18-year-old Raichell Shanks, 19-year-old Troy Werkmeister and 19-year-old Lindsay Simon were all arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into the O’Brien county jail and were later released on their own recognizance by a magistrate.

The children were placed in the care of relatives.
