(Spirit Lake)– A power outage left portions of Spirit Lake in the dark around 8:20 or so Monday morning.
Rick Oleson, Operations Manager for Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative, says it stemmed from a switching problem involving a substation at Highway nine and 15th Street in Spirit Lake.
The outage affected mainly the Lakes Business Park and Bridgewater area.
The outage lasted only a few minutes for some, but for others it was nearly a half-hour before power was restored.
