(Spencer)– A traffic stop early this (Wednesday) morning in Clay county landed a Spencer man in jail on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Highway 18 shortly after midnight. While speaking with the driver the deputy noticed some marijuana seeds in the vehicle.
In addition, authorities say the driver, 21-year-old Sean McCloud of Spencer, was also found to be in possession of about five grams of marijuana and a glass pipe.
McCloud was arrested and booked into the Clay county jail on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no proof of insurance.
