(Milford)– Drug and burglary charges have been filed against a Milford man in connection with an alleged incident earlier this week.
Milford police say officers observed a male subject in dark clothing run into a storage building behind Zipper’s Gentleman’s Club and Okoboji Power Sports in north Milford around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night.
A subsequent investigation and search of the building resulted in officers finding a male subject in the building with a large amount of cash and a crystal-like substance alleged to be methamphetamine.
The subject, identified as 23-year-old Blake Joseph Schierholt (sheer-holt) of Milford, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver methamphetamine and burglary in the third degree.
Schierholt was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
The Milford Police Department was assisted by the Arnolds Park Police Department, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force.
Authorities say the investigation is on-going.
