Spencer Mishap Sends One Person To Hospital

(Spencer)– A two-vehicle accident Friday at the intersection of East Fourth Street and Fourth Avenue East in Spencer sent one person to the hospital complaining of possible injury.

Spencer police say 16-year-old Latasha Grace of Spencer was northbound on Fourth Avenue East and was pulling out from a stop sign at East Fourth Street when she pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Logan Huber of Spencer.

Grace was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with possible injuries; no injuries were reported to Huber.

Grace was charged with failure to obey a stop sign.

Three thousand dolalrs in damage was estimated to a 1992 Geo Prism driven by Grace; damage to a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Huber was estimated at two-thousand dollars.

The mishap took place shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday.
