(Spencer)– More arrests to report in connection with an ongoing drug investigation in Spencer and Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it executed a search warrant on a residence around 7:30 a.m. Friday at 928 Fifth Avenue West in Spencer.
The search turned up quantities of marijuana and drug paraphernalia allegedly belonging to two juveniles who had been staying there.
The juveniles, who’s names haven’t been released, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each was released to the custody of their parents.
It was the second such search warrant executed in as many days by Clay county authorities that resulted in drug-related arrests. And officials say this won’t be the last. They say more arrests are expected as their investigation continues.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department.
