(Spencer)– A residential break-in, vehicle theft and a report of items stolen from a vehicle kept Spencer police busy over the holiday weekend.
The residential break-in was reported shortly before 10:00 p.m. Thursday from the 300 block of East Second Street. A 19-inch television with DVD player, a black light, a 13-inch television, a home theatre system, alarm clock and a VCR were reported stolen. The items have a combined value of more that five-hundred dollars.
Authorities received a report that same evening of a vehicle that had been broken into in the 500 block of Grand Avenue. A compact disc case and about 40 compact discs were reported stolen along with some shoes, a portable c-d player with car adapter and three pairs of jeans. The items are valued at 767-dollars.
Spencer police Sunday morning received a report of a 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup that had been taken from in front of a residence in the 500 block of East Fourth Street. The vehicle was located a couple hours later at DeWolf Park.
And Spencer police Monday evening investigated an incident in which a passenger window had been shot out of a vehicle with a b-b gun in the 400 block of West Fourth Street. Damage was estimated at 200-dollars.
