(Arnolds Park)– With Christmas over and New Year’s just around the corner, you may be wondering what to do with that Christmas tree.
The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce has an idea: your tree can become part of the opening ceremonies for next month’s University of Okoboji Winter Games.
The chamber is once again collecting natural Christmas trees to be used in the bonfire for the opening ceremonies Saturday, January 27th.
Trees may be dropped off at semi trailers parked at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds in Spirit Lake; the Arnolds Park Amusement Park parking lot and the city of Milford maintenance building.
You’re asked to place the trees as far back in the trailers as possible.
