(Spencer)– A traffic stop Thursday night in Clay county resulted in multiple drug charges against two Milford men.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy conducted the stop around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of county roads M-50 and B-53.
Authorities say a plastic container with anhydrous ammonia in it and other drug precursors were being thrown out of the vehicle as a deputy was trying to stop it. A search of the vehicle turned up additional precursors.
Two occupants in the vehicle, 19-year-old Dustin James Vanmaasdam and 18-year-old Jeffrey Duane Krowiorz both of Milford, were arrested and charged with possession of drug precursors…anhydrous ammonia; possession of drug precursors…lithium battery; and possession of drug precursors…pseudoephedrine…all class “D” felonies; transporting anhydrous ammonia in an unauthorized container…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia; littering on a highway and improper registration plate lamp…all simple misdemeanors.
Vanmaasdam and Krowiorz were booked into the Clay county jail.
