SW Mn. Collision Injures NW Ia. Man

(Luverne, Mn.)– A two-vehicle crash Thursday in southwest Minnesota sent two people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 71-year-old Myrna Lange of Beaver Creek was southbound on Highway 75 seven miles south of Luverne when she made a U-turn in front of a semi driven by 68-year-old Arlynd Mulder of Sioux Center.

Lange and Mulder were both taken by ambulance to the Luverne hospital. Mulder was later airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital with unknown injuries.

A 1996 Chevrolet Blazer Lange was driving was totalled; a 2000 Peterbilt Semi driven by Mulder and a trailer it was pulling were also totalled.

The mishap took place shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
