(Dickens)– An incident early Sunday in Dickens resulted in charges against two people.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was on routine patrol around 2:00 a.m. when he found a car stuck in a snowbank at the corner of Second Avenue and Pine Street in Dickens.
Upon investigating, the deputy determined the vehicle was being driven by 20-year-old Jayme Harrington who lost control and got stuck.
Authorities say Harrington and three other people were trying to push the vehicle out of the snow. One of them was identified as 20-year-old Bobby Choat the second of Dickens. He was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
The other two, who were juveniles, were released.
Harrington was charged with driving while suspended. He was released pending a future court appearance.
