(Sibley)– A Hartley man has been sentenced to no more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge stemming from a burglary last year at an Osceola county hog confinement.
21-year-old Duane William Wiggins of Hartley was transported Friday to the Iowa Department of Corrections at Oakdale.
Wiggins pleaded guilty recently in Osceola County District Court to a charge of burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony.
Authorities say Wiggins broke into the building October 11th, 2006 and took several items.
Authorities say Wiggins was involved in a motor vehicle accident in O’Brien county a short time after the burglary and the stolen items were recovered at the accident scene.
