(Sibley)– Multiple charges have been filed against a St. Cloud, Minnesota man who led Osceola county authorities on a high-speed pursuit after driving off from a Spirit Lake convenience store without paying for gas.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle around 4:30 p.m. last Wednesday. But the driver, 20-year-old Timothy McMahon of St. Cloud, continued west on Highway Nine. The chase continued into western Osceola county, where a Lyon county deputy joined in and tried to block the path of the vehicle. However McMahon turned north onto a county road, where he eventually went into a ditch.
McMahon then fled on foot into a field. Deputies eventually caught up with McMahon and apprehended him.
McMahon was charged with eluding…an aggravated misdemeanor. He was booked into the Osceola county jail on 6,500-dollars bond.
McMahon also faces charges in Dickinson county.
