(Arnolds Park)– Major improvements are about to be made to a busy intersection on Highway 71 where the city limits of Arnolds Park, Milford and West Okoboji converge.
The three cities are participating financially in a project to upgrade the Highway 71 and 202nd Street intersection just south of Emerald Hills Golf Course.
Wick’s Construction of Decorah, Iowa submitted the low bid on the project at 188,232-dollars–under the engineer’s estimate of 256,420-dollars.
The Arnolds Park city council gave it’s approval to the bid Wednesday evening.
The project will include the installation of a left-turn lane.
Work is to begin April 15th…weather permitting…with completion slated for May 23rd.
Another phase of the project will include the installation of stoplights later this summer.
