Road Closed Due To Flooding Reopened

November 22, 2014

(Lake Park)– One road in western Dickinson county that had been closed due to flooding has been re-opened.

The county’s secondary roads department has re-opened 190th Avenue in Diamond Lake Township between 110th Street and 120th Street.

180th Street in Lakeville Township remains closed between 170th and 190th Avenue. Officials say a tree is wedged against a bridge in that area.

While flooding continues along many area rivers, officials say the worst of it appears to be over as levels are receding.

They’re keeping their fingers crossed for continued dry weather. The National Weather Service says no major precipitation is in the forecast until mid-to-late next week when a system could bring thunderstorms to the region.
