(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department was called to a chimney fire Monday evening in the Moore Lake area on the southeast side of East Lake Okoboji.
Fire Chief Chris Yungluth says firefighters were called to 25108 182nd Street. Upon arriving he says smoke could be seen coming from the chimney. Yungbluth says the homeowner had initially reported seeing flames coming from the upper part of the chimney.
Yungbluth says firefighters took the cap off the chimney and determined the fire was the result of some leftover material that had burned. He says it was determined there was no longer any threat of fire and firefighters left after spending about a half-hour to 45 minutes on the scene.
