Osceola Co. Traffic Stop Results In Two Drug Arrests

(Ashton)– A traffic stop Saturday near Ashton resulted in the arrests of two people on drug charges.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Ashley Lambirth of Sheldon. Upon investigating, a deputy learned Lambirth was wanted on a Clay county warrant for theft in the fifth degree.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia and a substance alleged to be methamphetamine.

Lambirth was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance, first offense…a serious misdemeanor. Lambirth was booked into the Osceola county jail on 2,275-dollars bond.

A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Nathan Silberstein of Sheldon, was also arrested for allegedly possessing drug paraphernalia, marijuana and methamphetamine. Silberstein was booked into the Osceola county jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor; and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, first offense…both serious misdemeanors. He was released after posting a 4,225-dollar bond.
