Spencer Collisions Injures Storm Lake Woman

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision last week in Spencer sent a Storm Lake woman to the hospital.

Spencer police say vehicles driven by 43-year-old Angela Zeman of Laurens and 64-year-old Larry Truman of Milford collided around 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 71 and Fourth Avenue Southwest and 11th Street Southwest in Spencer.

No injuries were reported to either driver. A passenger in Truman’s vehicle, 71-year-old Delores Witte of Storm Lake, was transported by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

Six thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1993 Pontiac mini-van driven by Zeman; a 2007 Chrysler driven by Truman sustained an estimated 12-thousand dollars in damage.

Zeman was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device.
