Milford Council Denies Liquor License Renewal For Gentlemen’s Club

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– Citing three criminal charges against the establishment, the Milford city council Monday evening denied a liquor license renewal for Zipper’s Gentlemen’s Club. City Administrator Brian Reed says the establishment’s current license is due to expire around the middle of April. The club has the option of appealing the denial to the state.

In other business, the council set May 2nd and 3rd as the dates for the city’s annual clean-up days with the same stipulations as last year’s event.

No action was taken on a request from the school to ban parking on “H” Avenue between eighth and 10th Streets.

And the council took no action on bids for the Florence Park memorial project. Reed says only one bid was received and it was rejected because it came in beyond the submittal deadline. He says the city will probably get quotes on the project instead as the estimated cost is below the 100-thousand dollar threshold for obtaining bids.
