(Estherville)– Trustees of Iowa Lakes Community College Tuesday voted to proceed with two phases of an expansion to house the college’s Wind Energy and Turbine Technology Program.
The action followed a public hearing.
Trustees voted to proceed with the Sustainable Energy Education Center at a cost of 1.4 million dollars.
The facility will utilize geothermal heating and cooling.
Construction is to begin in early May.
