(Spirit Lake)– A single-vehicle rollover Tuesday evening east of McDonalds in Okoboji sent a Spirit Lake man to the hospital.
The Okoboji Police Department says Jerry Sebert of Spirit Lake was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe north and eastbound on Stakeout Road just south of Chalstrom Beach Road when he failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle left the road and rolled.
Equipment from the Lakes Area Extrication Unit was used to free Sebert from the wreckage.
Sebert was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare where he was treated and released.
The vehicle was totaled.
The crash took place around 5:30 p.m. Authorities say it remains under investigation.
The Okoboji Police Department was assisted by the Spirit Lake and Arnolds Park Police Departments, Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire and Rescue and the Lakes Area Extrication Unit.
